Letitgo was started by Erich von Spivey and kevUn ezee from the ashes of their previous band Far From Paradise. Erich once again took up guitar duties and kevun opted to do both bass and vocals. Mike Hostile was picked to fill out the trio on drums. They recorded some early demos and played locally until finally Mike moved to 2nd guitar and Brian Chicago ( from FFP) was brought in to play drums. Emma Sleep was also brought in to do backing vocals. The band played more shows and finally decided to work on an album. There was two live demo albums done first " unemployed" and "still unemployed" after which the band started the process of trying to get their songs down in an album. The recording process was never quite finished as the band went through turmoil behind the scenes. Finally going back to a three piece, this time with Brian Chicago as drummer. Kevun decided to move to st.louis for 2 years and so jasin Hillard was brought in on bass and kevun came back to do vocal duties at shows and a few practices. Once kevun moved back he went to rhythm guitar, and then back to bass once again after Jasin left the band. 

Letitgo played once again as a three piece until Brian finally wasn't able to perform regularly due to work and family. Kevun had formed Cursive z by this time and so the band took a long break. In 2024, after two years not performing, Erich and kevUn reunited for a show with Travis from cursive z for a show. They are currently auditioning drummers for a new album and shows to follow. Erich also plays with friends on whatever he is interested in playing on.
